These instructions are designed to provide authors with simple guidelines to help them to prepare
their manuscripts. These guidelines should be observed in order to homogenise the presentation and
to reduce the publication time to a minimum. Please check with the list that nothing is missing before
giving your manuscript to the scientific editor.
General Presentation
- The final printed area will be of 14.5 × 22 cm in 10 points.
The printout will be made on white paper in A4 format, on only one side of the paper.
- The text is to be typed single-spaced.
- Section titles should be written without indentation and numbered with Arabic numerals as follows:
1 Introduction (boldface, text follows two lines below, without indentation)
1.1 Results (boldface, text follows two lines below, without indentation)
1.1.1 At Room Temperature (text follows two lines below, without indentation)
- Paragraphs other than those following immediately a section title should be indented of 0.8 cm.
The Headers will be added by the Publisher.
Title
The title should be simple, concive and informative.
Author(s) name(s) and affiliations
A list of all authors, as well as corresponding addresses, should be provided. Each address should be
preceded by a numerical superscript corresponding to the same superscript after the name of the
concerned author. Addresses should contain all information necessary for an effective mail delivery.
Abstract
- An abstract is obligatory. It is to be typed in 9 points in a single paragraph, beginning where
indicated on the model sheet, and as follows:
Abstract: text following immediately (200 words max.)
- Text should begin approximately 2 cm below the last line of the abstract.
Figures, diagrams, tables, etc.
- Figures and tables, as originals of good quality and well contrasted, are to be in their
final form, ready for reproduction, pasted on at the appropriate place in the text (diagrams,
photos, etc.).
- Captions are typed in 9 points, single-spaced, above the tables and beneath the figures.
- Photographs in colour will be reproduced in black and white. If an author wishes to publish
diagrams or photos in colour it is accepted but will be at the author's expense (quotation on
request). In this case, the author will clearly specify his (her) wish on an accompanying sheet.
References
- References should be cited in the text by placing sequential numbers in brackets (for example,
[1], [2, 5, 7], [8-10]). They should be numbered in the order in which they are cited.
Authors may be cited in the text by name, but without initials. Authors should use the forms below
in the final reference list.

- Footnotes will be limited to a minimum, and indicated by consecutive letters placed as
exponents a.
- Equations will be centred and numbered in parentheses on the right-hand side.
